It emphasized that exiting the regional crisis is only possible through political and diplomatic paths, and that the military option has no place in this regard.
The Foreign Ministry of Egypt announced:
“Cairo supports the path of negotiation between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding Iran’s nuclear program and demands the continuation of talks in line with maintaining stability and security in the region.”
The statement came after Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, took part in a trilateral ministerial meeting with Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi and Badr Abdel Aati, the foreign ministers of Oman and Egypt, respectively, after he arrived in Oslo, Norway, this morning to take part in the 22nd Oslo Forum.
