Mohammad Eslami, Vice President and President of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, following the issuance of a political resolution by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, stated: “Western countries expect the Iranian nation and government to remain silent, and with audacity and arrogance, they accuse Iran of failing to fulfill its commitments. They claim Iran has been non-compliant, but not a single word to this effect appears in the IAEA’s reports regarding Iran.”
Eslami added: “The enrichment industry is ingrained in the soul of our people and will not be eradicated. In response to the IAEA Board of Governors’ resolution, we are initiating the construction of our third enrichment site.”
The Vice President further clarified: “We have built and prepared the third enrichment site, which is a secure location from a security perspective, and with the letter sent to the IAEA today, operations to equip and install machines will commence.”
He also noted: “We are also upgrading the centrifuges at the Fordow site, replacing them with advanced next-generation machines.”
