Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently announced that the sixth round of indirect negotiations with the American side will be held on Sunday in Muscat, with Oman acting as mediator.
Reuters, quoting informed sources, reported: “Steve Witkoff, the U.S. President’s Special Envoy for West Asia, intends to travel to Muscat on Sunday for the sixth round of talks with Iran.”
Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Thursday, while presenting a report on his two-day trip to Oslo, the capital of Norway, stated: “We are preparing for Sunday and the next round of Iran-U.S. negotiations, which will, of course, take place in the shadow of the new resolution passed by the IAEA Board of Governors.”
So far, five rounds of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States concerning the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program have been held in the cities of Muscat and Rome.
