The spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran emphasized that at Natanz, some superficial damage occurred, but fortunately, the main facilities—located underground—remained unharmed.

Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, stated that at the Natanz site, a portion of the damage affected only surface-level sections, while the majority of the facilities, which are underground, were fortunately left intact. A small number of surface equipment were damaged, but this caused no contamination and poses no concern for public health.

He added that at the Fordow site, limited damage occurred to certain areas, though technically, it is not considered serious. In Isfahan, some warehouses were targeted, leading to a fire.

Kamalvandi noted that due to prior planning, many key materials and equipment had already been relocated in advance, which prevented major damage to the facilities. Fortunately, there were no casualties in any of these incidents.

He emphasized: “I assure you that even in cases where damage occurred, reconstruction has been carried out with improved quality, and with the scientific, technical, and human capabilities of the country, these damages will soon be fully remedied.”
