Qalibaf, expressing sympathy with the families of the martyrs and the grieving nation, said:
“First, I offer my condolences to the dear people who were martyred in this terrorist and criminal aggression by the Zionist regime. I also express sympathy with the families and our elite society, whose members — some of our nuclear scientists — were targeted and martyred. Our high-ranking and dear commanders also achieved martyrdom in this great tragedy.”
He continued:
“This criminal regime committed an act last night that is clearly an act of aggression. The Zionist regime attacked our armed forces, our elites, our people, and our territory. But it should know that the end of this affair lies with us. With God’s help and might, at any place, any time, and with any means, we will take our revenge.”
The Speaker of Parliament stressed:
“All those who supported this regime, provided it with intelligence, equipment, or financial aid, are partners in this crime and will be held responsible.”
Qalibaf also pointed to the martyrdom of Iranian scientists and commanders and said:
“Our noble nation can be assured that although we lost great scientists, our universities, professors, and elites will continue this path. As you know, this knowledge and technology is completely indigenous and has developed from within this country. Our commanders, too, are trained during the Sacred Defense and many years of experience in various fields — their successors have already been appointed quickly. So, there is no cause for concern.”
He added:
“Throughout history, the Iranian people have always demonstrated their greatness and power and have been present in critical moments. Today, too, we are in a historic moment, and we are confident that our nation, with composure and unity, will deliver a crushing response to this criminal enemy.”
In conclusion, Qalibaf said:
“Some foreign Persian-language media are trying to create anxiety among the people and sow division. But our people have shown throughout history that they stand united against foreign aggression. We are confident that this will once again be the case.”
