He said that the idea that a country can change the regime of another country by bombing it has always been mistaken.
“I believe anyone who thinks that bombing a country from the outside will save it, despite itself and against its will, has always been mistaken,” Macron said.
Israel began a missile strike on Iran on Friday (Jan. 13). Its criminal aggression targeted civilians as well as military officials and even nuclear facilities, killing dozens of citizens and destroying civilian buildings like Farabi Hospital in Kermanshah and the building of Iran Broadcasting.
Israel has said it wants to prevent Iran from gaining access to a nuclear bomb. This is while the International Atomic Energy Agency has never reported signs of Iran developing a bomb.
Israel has also claimed that it is not a war against civilians but against the government, yet it has targeted dozens of residential areas so far and destroyed vital infrastructure.
