Iran’s Mission to the United Nations, in response to Donald Trump, the President of the United States, who claimed that Iranian officials had requested to visit him at the White House, said:
“No Iranian official has ever asked to kneel at the gates of the White House. The only thing more repugnant than his lies is his cowardly threat to ‘eliminate’ Iran’s leader.”
The statement reads:
“Iran does not negotiate under pressure, does not accept peace under pressure, and certainly will not negotiate with a former warmonger who clings to power.”
According to the statement, “Iran will respond to every threat with a counter-threat and to every action with reciprocal measures.”
