Iran’s Foreign Minister has arrived in Geneva at the head of a delegation for negotiations with the European Troika.

Seyed Abbas Araghchi is scheduled to meet with the foreign ministers of the UK, Germany, and France to discuss Iran’s nuclear program.
The negotiations have resumed with the European Troika while Iran is under attack by Israel and acting in self-defense.

Iran has never abandoned the negotiation table. It was preparing for the sixth round of talks with the United States when Israel launched unprovoked missile attacks on civilian areas. So far, Israel has killed over 300 civilians and injured more than 2,000 as a result of these attacks.

Iran has consistently maintained that diplomacy is its first option and that it does not seek war, but will defend itself when necessary. It has also stated that negotiations with the United States are not possible as long as Israel’s attacks continue and the U.S. continues to support the country.
