According to the Persian edition of ISNA, Ned Price wrote on the social media platform X (Twitter): “Donald Trump, the U.S. President, has engaged in deception with his so-called diplomatic efforts.”
He added: “Trump likely sought to deceive Iran into feeling it faced no particular threat, but the White House clearly misled the American people and our allies, showing that diplomacy had little chance of success. Now, we all bear the consequences of this deception.”
