Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, in a letter to the IAEA Director General, called for addressing the U.S.’s unlawful attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

According to the Persian edition of ISNA, following the aggressions by the U.S. and the Zionist regime against Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities, Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization issued a new letter this morning to Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), expressing its protest against the aggressive attacks by the U.S., a permanent member of the UN Security Council, on Iran’s nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan.

In the letter, Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, while informing about the aggressive attacks on its nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan by the U.S., a permanent member of the UN Security Council that is expected to adhere to the UN Charter, expressed its protest against the gross violation of international laws and regulations, particularly the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and other international mechanisms that prohibit not only attacks but also threats against nuclear facilities. The organization also requested that the unlawful U.S. actions in attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities be addressed, urging the IAEA Director General to end inaction, condemn these aggressions that violate international law in accordance with the agency’s statutory duties, and take appropriate measures.

The letter addressed to the Director General states that the Islamic Republic of Iran has taken necessary measures to defend its sovereign rights and will pursue appropriate legal actions, particularly regarding the inaction and complicity of Grossi himself in these shameless crimes, through relevant international bodies.

Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization also called on peace-loving countries worldwide to take appropriate measures, in line with their responsibility to safeguard international law, particularly the NPT, in response to these violations.
