Ambassador to London Ali Mousavi has called on the British government to adopt a clear stance regarding the United States’ act of aggression against Iran.

In a meeting with Britain’s Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office, Hamish Falconer, Mousavi urged the British government to take a clear and responsible position regarding the U.S. aggression against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

According to Iran’s embassy in London. Mousavi met with Falconer on Monday to express his serious concern about the illegal U.S. military attacks on the Islamic Republic’s peaceful nuclear infrastructure. He described this move as an act of aggression and a blatant violation of international law.

The ambassador called on the under-secretary not to remain silent in the face of measures that weaken international law, particularly the U.N. Charter.

He also stated that Iran reserves its legitimate right to respond to this aggression at an appropriate time and in a manner consistent with Article 51 of the U.N. Charter.

In response, the British official expressed his country’s deep concern about the escalation of tensions, stating that Britain will not contribute to the attacks. He also called for de-escalation and the return of all parties to diplomacy.

The U.S. conducted airstrikes on the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear sites early Sunday.
