While receiving the credentials of Iran’s new Ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Damirchilou, on Friday, Aliyev said that he would not allow any threat or action against Iran to be carried out using the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan by fully monitoring the soil and space of his country, condemning the Israeli aggression on Iran.
Congratulating on the appointment of Iran’s new envoy, he expressed willingness to further bolstering diplomatic relations with the Islamic Republic.
Important economic agreements had been inked during the recent visit of President Masoud Pezeshkian to Azerbaijan, he added.
Damirchilou for his part termed the expansion of friendly relations based on mutual interests with neighbors as one of the proprieties of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The envoy said that he would spare no efforts to deepen friendly relations between the two countries.
The Israeli regime is seeking to create tension in the region, he said, expressing the hope that the regional countries would thwart the plot thanks to vigilance and cooperation.
