He also urged the WHO to take firm action to hold both regimes accountable for their violations of international law.
The letter emphasized that as a result of the Israeli regime’s attacks, seven hospitals and medical centers across various parts of Iran were damaged, and 627 people — including medical staff and aid workers — were martyred, while 4,935 others were injured.
In another part of the letter, Iran’s ambassador highlighted the catastrophic consequences of the deliberate attacks by the U.S. and Israel on nuclear facilities, endangering the lives of people in Iran and the region. He stressed that such actions are in clear violation of the WHO Constitution and several of its adopted resolutions.
It is worth noting that earlier, Iran’s Minister of Health, in a separate letter, had also called on the World Health Organization to condemn the Israeli regime’s unlawful attacks on the country’s medical facilities.
