The European troika (Britain, France, and Germany), in a joint statement, condemned the alleged threats against “Rafael Grossi” and repeated their full support for the agency and the Director General of the IAEA.
In the statement, which has been published on the website of France’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it has been proposed that “we urge Iranian officials to refrain from any measures with the aim of ending their collaboration with the agency.”
The European troika has requested the resumption of Iran’s collaboration with the agency. Part of the statement reads: “We ask Iran to resume its cooperation with the agency under its legal obligations and take all necessary measures to provide the security and safety of the workers of the agency.”
Iran views the biased report of Rafael Grossi on its nuclear program as a factor preparing the ground for the Zionist regime’s and the U.S.’s acts of aggression. Iran suspended its collaboration with the agency last Wednesday through parliamentary approval.
Iranian officials only proposed the issue of his legal persecution in official reactions and have criticized his behavior and never threatened him.
