The Iraqi Prime Minister, stating that the Zionist regime used Iraq’s airspace without permission to attack Iran, warned that efforts to collapse the Islamic Republic of Iran’s regime would have dangerous consequences for the entire region.

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani asserted: “The violation of Iraq’s airspace by the Zionist regime is an assault on our sovereignty and a violation of the United Nations Charter. We have lodged a formal complaint with the UN Security Council in this regard.”

Speaking with the BBC news network, he added: “Iraq has adopted a balanced diplomacy and has conveyed messages to our friends about the dangers of the regional situation and that our sovereignty is non-negotiable.”

The Iraqi Prime Minister emphasized: “Efforts to collapse the Islamic Republic of Iran’s regime will have dangerous consequences for the entire region.”

Al-Sudani continued: “The expansion of the war could have harmed Iraq’s security and stability and impacted energy supplies and oil exports to regional countries.”

He stressed: “The supreme religious authority in Najaf issued a statement warning of the dangers of continuing the war, and the government succeeded in keeping Iraq out of the conflict.”

He also noted: “Iraq supports the Palestinian cause, and we have managed to maintain the government’s authority over decisions regarding peace and war.”

The Iraqi Prime Minister added: “We have good relations with both Iran and the United States, and both sides understand the importance of Iraq’s stability.”
