Vali Nasr, an advisor to former U.S. President Barack Obama and an international relations analyst, has stated that “the belief that a nuclear bomb is necessary for ultimate deterrence — not for offensive purposes but to prevent a repeat of bombing — has grown stronger in Iran.”
