Esmail Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, wrote on Saturday: “Days after the cessation of the Zionist regime’s military aggression against our homeland, new dimensions of Netanyahu’s war crimes in Tehran and other Iranian cities targeted by Israeli attacks are being revealed.”
Posting a video on the social media platform X, Baghaei added:
“The video below shows the brutal Israeli assault on Evin Prison Hospital on June 22, 2025, when families and friends of prisoners had gathered to visit their loved ones. They, along with several staff members and bystanders, were trapped under the rubble caused by the bombing and burned.
Seventy-nine innocent people lost their lives as a result of this ruthless war crime committed by Israel.”
He further wrote: “No person of conscience can remain silent in the face of such injustice, which constitutes a blatant violation of humanitarian law and an undeniable war crime.”
The spokesperson for Iran’s diplomatic apparatus emphasized: “This aggressive regime must be firmly condemned and held accountable, and punished for committing heinous crimes against the Iranian people.”
