Shia Muslims across the world mourn the martyrdom anniversary of Ashura martyrs during the first 10 days of Muharram every year. Ashura is a symbol of resistance against arrogance and the domination of tyrants, as well as a celebration of freedom.
During the ceremonies held in London to commemorate Ashura, photos of those martyred in the 12-day war imposed on Iran by Israel were also displayed, as a tribute to those who lost their lives because of tyranny and arrogance.
