U.S. President Claims American Network Disclosed Timing of Aggressive Attack on Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump claimed on Monday evening that an American network had disclosed the timing of the United States’ aggressive attack on Iran.

Labeling the American network CNN as a “horrible network,” Trump alleged that it had information about the initial U.S. plan to enter Iranian airspace.

He stated, “I was watching CNN, and they practically knew our plans for attacking Iran and when we were going to enter their airspace. I thought, you know, that’s strange. So I called the Defense Secretary and military commanders and told them CNN was broadcasting about when the planes were supposed to fly and enter Iranian airspace. The commanders told me there was no problem.”

Trump further claimed, “B-2 bombers were surrounded by very good fighters like the F-22.”

He continued, asserting, “I asked, isn’t surprise better? Of course it is. I said, well, let’s cancel it and do the attack at another time. So I said we canceled it, and we might do it in a week or two. Everyone thought the attack was off. Then I said I have another idea. Let’s go ahead on the exact day we planned. We flew, and that’s when the planes headed to Guam.”

These aggressive attacks on Iran’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty occurred amid indirect Tehran-Washington negotiations regarding an agreement to limit Iran’s nuclear program and lift sanctions on Iran.

The U.S. President deceptively referenced an opportunity for diplomacy while acknowledging full awareness and support of the Israeli regime’s plan to attack Iran on June 23.
