Iran’s Foreign Ministry, strongly condemned the illegal and rouge act of the U.S. in extensive arrest of Iranian nationals residing in the U.S. and inhuman treat with them by the U.S. administration.

Alireza Hashemi-Raja, the director-general of the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of the Affairs of Iranians Residing Abroad, strongly condemned the illegal and rogue extensive arrest of Iranian nationals residing in the U.S.
Hashemi-Raja said that this act of the U.S., following the country’s support for and intervention in the military invasion of the Zionist regime against Iran’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty, is a clear violation of international principles and international law.
Hashemi-Raja expressed his serious concern about the U.S. administration’s action and said that, according to received reports, the Department of Homeland Security, as the policy-maker, and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, as the executor, have attempted to impose policies and tough actions by carrying out extensive enforcement and security operations against many Iranian nationals in the U.S.
Hashemi-Raja said that these actions are not only a clear violation of principles and human rights law but have also raised serious concerns among Iranian families.
The official referred to the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations for facilitating consular access to Iranian nationals in the shortest possible time and said that despite repeated follow-ups by the office for safeguarding the interests of the Islamic Republic, so far no satisfactory explanation has been offered regarding the reasons for the mass arrest of Iranian nationals.
“We condemn this disrespectful and inhuman treatment towards Iranian nationals in the U.S. and call for providing them easy access to receive required services.”
He said that inhuman treatment of nationals of other countries, based on their nationality or religion, is a clear example of systematic racism in the U.S. policy-making apparatus and is a violation of international norms in the field of human rights. “The U.S. government will definitely be held responsible for its behavior.”
Hashemi-Raja said that the Islamic Republic will firmly support the rights of its nationals and will spare no effort to safeguard the rights of Iranians in the face of the consequences resulting from the racist decision.
