Iran’s foreign ministry sends condolences to Iraqi citizens following deadly fire

 The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry has offered condolences over the deaths of several Iraqi citizens in a tragic fire at a shopping center.

Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in a fire incident in the city of Kut, located in southern Baghdad. He also conveyed Iran’s sympathy and solidarity with the people and government of Iraq.

In his message, Baghaei extended deep condolences and solidarity with the brotherly and neighboring nation of Iraq, and stated that Iran stands ready to offer any assistance in rescue and relief operations.

He concluded by praying for patience and solace for the bereaved families and a speedy recovery for the injured.

Iraq’s official news agency, quoting a hospital source, reported that a massive fire at a commercial center in Kut, Wasit Province, resulted in 63 deaths and 40 injuries.
