President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for more “unity and cohesion” in Iran and the broader Islamic world amid shared security threats posed by enemies.

Unity and cohesion are the most critical needs of our society — and indeed the entire Islamic world — as recently emphasized by Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Pezeshkian said.

Addressing officials and employees of the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs in Tehran on Saturday, the president called on his administration to fulfill its responsibilities with truth and integrity, emphasizing that sincere service to the people is key in thwarting enemy conspiracies.

“We should not consider someone an enemy simply because of their opposing opinion,” he said. Many of these individuals have expressed a willingness to sacrifice their lives for their country, and may be even more compassionate than those who merely flatter, he added.

The president noted that a broad spectrum of societal voices is now visible in the media and cautioned against using differing viewpoints as grounds for division.

“Today, it is our duty to serve the people — regardless of gender, ethnicity, belief, or race — grounded in truth, fairness, and justice,” he added.

Referring to the recent 12-day imposed war, Pezeshkian said his administration has taken swift steps to support those affected by Israeli aggression. He also reassured citizens that any shortcomings in policy execution will be addressed, and corrective actions will be taken where needed.

He urged both citizens and officials to stay vigilant, warning that hostile actors continue to seek division, which he described as their central aim during the failed war of aggression.

Addressing the challenge of returning illegal immigrants, the president acknowledged that an undertaking of such magnitude cannot be accomplished without any problems, but assured that the Ministry of Interior has taken measures to deal with the issue respectfully and peacefully.
