The fourth day of the second summer month in the Iranian calendar is the commemoration day of Sheikh Saffieddin Ardabili.
Sheikh Saffieddin Abolfath Eshaq Ardabili, known as Sheikh Saffieddin Ardabili (1252–1334 AD), was an Iranian mystic and Sufi, who is known as the ancestor of the Safavid Dynasty.
He was a ancestor of Firouzshah Zarrin Kolah and lived in the Moghan District.
Some of his poems have been translated into the Azeri language.
Saffieddin established a khanqah [temple of Sufism] in Ardabil, which became a hub for the Safavid path.
His mausoleum in Ardabil attracts many tourists.
