Tuiserkan County in Hamedan Province has more than 261 historical, cultural, and tourism attractions, as well as mesmerizing nature, diverse crops, and handicrafts. All these features have turned Tuiserkan into one of the tourism destinations in the west of Iran.
The fifth day of the second summer month in the Iranian calendar has been named after Tuiserkan as an attempt to commemorate the martyrdom of more than 40 citizens involved in the Mersad Operation, and to honor the first Friday Prayer held more than 100 years ago.
Tuiserkan Day is an opportunity to introduce the potential of the county with the aim of attracting more tourists.
With more than 6,000 hectares of its land under the cultivation of walnut trees, producing high-quality walnuts – comparable with global examples – and the registration of this crop by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, Tuiserkan is not only the capital of Iran’s walnuts but is also famous as the world’s walnut capital.
also, there are more than 4,500 workshops manufacturing furniture and woodworks [Monabbat in Persian] in Tuiserkan. As the industry and art of producing woodworks are very ancient in Tuiserkan, the city has gained the title of the national city of Golriz Monabbat and has the geographical sign of furniture and Monabbat.
