During the delivery of two cold plasma devices to the Farabi medical center in Isfahan, Mohammad Eslami, Vice President and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), said that the cold plasma technology, which has been developed through the efforts of Iranian nuclear scientists, is considered an effective treatment for chronic wounds.

Eslami said on Monday that this technology is available in nine hospitals across Iran, with four hospitals officially utilizing it. The wound clinics in five hospitals equipped with this technology will soon be officially operational, he added.

He also said that the cold plasma technology significantly reduces the complications for patients with chronic wounds.

He further noted that this technology is possessed by only a limited number of countries, and Iranian scientists have localized this knowledge through extensive research.

Eslami concluded that with the assistance of the AEOI, Iran’s largest wound clinic will be inaugurated in Isfahan within the next two months, and it will provide patients with special services.
