Larijani made the remark upon arrival in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on Wednesday as part of his regional tour that earlier took him to Iraq.
“The suffering of the Lebanese people is our suffering. We will stand by the people of Lebanon under all circumstances,” he said.
The SNSC secretary further expressed gratitude to Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri for facilitating his visit.
During his stay, the top Iranian security official is scheduled to meet with key figures, including the president, prime minister, and other prominent political figures in Lebanon.
Larijani began his regional tour on Monday when he visited Baghdad. There, he and his Iraqi counterpart signed a key security agreement which Larijani said is aimed at fostering ties between the two countries.
