Saeed Khatibzadeh, who traveled to Ankara, held talks with Okay Memiş, in Ankara on Friday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest regional developments, including the genocide in Gaza and the expansionist policies of the Israeli regime. They emphasized the importance of solidarity and unity within the Islamic world, as well as the need for continued consultations between Iran and Turkey to overcome shared regional challenges.
Khatibzadeh expressed appreciation for the positions taken by the Turkish government and people in supporting and standing in solidarity with the Iranian nation during the Israeli regime’s aggression against Iran. He also elaborated on the conspiratorial plans of the United States and the Israeli regime to expand their hegemony in West Asia.
Referring to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the ongoing assaults by the Israeli regime, both parties stressed the urgent need to assist and support the oppressed people of Palestine, the Gaza Strip in particular, and to strengthen international efforts to halt the attacks and lift the blockade on the region.
