The restoration plans have been approved, and the operational phase will begin in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage Department. The six-month project is intended to preserve Farrokhzad’s memory, and her house will be furnished with her personal belongings and furniture.
If Farrokhzad’s personal items are not sufficient to fully equip the museum, objects related to other poets will be transferred to the house for public display.
Forough Farrokhzad was an influential Iranian poet and film director. She died in a car accident at the age of 32. Her poem “Let Us Believe in the Dawn of the Cold Season” was published posthumously and is considered by many to be one of the best-structured modern poems in Persian literature.
