Ali Nasri, an Iranian strategist, reacted on his X account to the EU’s decision to trigger the snapback mechanism against Iran.

Nasri wrote:
“#EU snapback on Iran is not wise strategy but a mere reflection of their own insecurities. Fear, projection, and overcompensation drive decisions more than diplomacy.”
His remarks came after three European countries—Germany, the UK, and France—activated the snapback mechanism to reinstate previously revoked UN Security Council sanctions against Iran.
Iran has consistently maintained that it is not seeking to develop nuclear weapons and that its nuclear activities are solely for peaceful purposes.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has never found evidence indicating that Iran’s nuclear program is anything other than peaceful.
