Iranian athlete Zahra Kiani claimed a historic gold medal at the 17th Wushu World Championships in Brasilia on Saturday, marking the country’s first-ever women’s gold in the individual Taolu category.
Competing in the morning session of the Changquan form, Kiani delivered a standout performance against 27 rivals to take the top spot on the podium.
Her victory raised Iran’s medal tally at the championships to two golds and one bronze so far.
