Israel’s attack on Qatar, carried out under the pretext of targeting Hamas leaders, provoked strong reactions from political leaders and analysts.

Ali Nasri, an Iranian strategist, argued that the Christian community holds significant potential to challenge Israel’s excesses.

He outlined his arguments in his Telegram Channel as follows:

1/ At the Qatar emergency summit, Muslim states debated sweeping measures vs. Israel. But beyond sanctions, law, and security steps — there’s an overlooked opportunity: reaching out to disillusioned Western Christian conservatives.

2/ Many Christian conservatives are rethinking unconditional support for Israel. Gaza’s devastation, moral contradictions & the silencing of dissenting voices have shaken old certainties.

3/ #CharlieKirk’s assassination – of a conservative who began questioning pro-Israel orthodoxy – became a symbol. It underscored how fragile the Christian-Zionist consensus has become in the U.S.

4/ For Muslim states, this is not about partisan politics but about principle; humanitarian relief, holy site protection, and legal accountability. These themes resonate deeply with faith-driven U.S/Western conservatives.

5/ By framing outreach in moral and religious language – protecting life, safeguarding the vulnerable, defending sacred sites – Muslim states can find common ground with Christians increasingly uneasy about Israel’s actions.

6/ The shared moral bedrock is simple: the Golden Rule – “treat others as you wish to be treated.” Both Bible & Qur’an uphold it. This can be the foundation of a faith-based alliance against Israel’s crimes and injustice.

7/ Practical steps: interfaith humanitarian projects, co-sponsored fact-finding missions, and joint calls for civilian protection. Shared values, not ideology, can form the bridge.

8/ If the Qatar summit’s agenda expands beyond governments to engage faith communities, it could reshape global discourse – showing that opposition to Israeli excesses is not “Islam vs. the West” but a broader moral coalition.

9/ Bottom line: Muslim states alone can pressure Israel, but with Christian conservatives questioning old narratives, the scope of allies can widen. That’s a new front Israel isn’t prepared for.
