New Turkish Consul General begins mission in Mashhad

Murad Erkul, the newly appointed Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Mashhad, formally commenced his diplomatic mission on Monday.

Speaking in a meeting with Ahmad Masoumifar, the head of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs representative office, the Turkish diplomat presented a copy of his credentials to him.

During the meeting, Masoumifar welcomed Erkul and briefed him on the capacities and potential of Khorasan Razavi Province and Mashhad city.

He also praised the work of the outgoing Consul General, and wished Erkul success in further strengthening provincial-level relations and cooperation.

Erkul, reflecting on his prior diplomatic assignments abroad, thanked Masoumifar for his support and expressed hope that he could build strong ties with the office, continue the work of his predecessor, and advance bilateral cooperation between Turkey and the region.
