Sadegh, who embarked on a visit to Azerbaijan, held a series of trilateral and bilateral meetings in Baku, describing the talks as highly productive.
A roadmap has been developed to facilitate 15 million metric tons of cargo transit between Iran, Azerbaijan, and Russia, she said, noting that the roadmap marks a major step toward boosting regional transport.
The minister highlighted the Rasht-Astara railway connection as a central project, adding that this link is the final missing piece in completing the international North-South Corridor.
As part of her visit, she held a separate meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation in transport and transit.
Sadegh called the overall relationship between Iran and Russia positive and developing across various sectors.
