Avash News: Saint Mary metro station, which is going to open very soon, has attracted the attention of Christian users on social media platforms, particularly X. They believe that the existence of such a station in a Muslim country, featuring contents and images related to Saint Mary, is laudable.
One Christian user has shared some pictures of the station and written, “This is a metro station in Tehran — Saint Mary Station. It is amazing.”
A Russian user has also reposted pictures of the station and written, “Guess where this metro station has been constructed! Don’t guess! A new metro station decorated with Christian symbols has been launched in Tehran.”

Another user, who described herself as Catholic, has welcomed the construction of a new metro station featuring elements related to Saint Mary and stated, “Iran has unveiled a new metro station in Tehran decorated with Christian symbols.”

An American user published an image of the station on his X account and wrote, “Breaking news! Tehran Municipality has opened a new metro station named ‘Saint Mary.’”
Another user wrote, “Western media outlets keep telling us how Iran is a barren and dogmatic land where no religion other than Islam can breathe. Then Tehran opens a new metro station named ‘Saint Mary,’ filled with Christian symbols, and the [Western] narrative suddenly shatters. It becomes clear that what they have instilled in us is not truth but propaganda to advance a certain narrative.”

A British author wrote on his personal X account, “Tehran has recently opened a metro station that displays a Christian mural near the Armenian Saint Sarkis Church, serving the 100,000-person community of Iranian Armenians.”
He continued, “A symbolic reference to peaceful cohabitation: Christians, Jews, and Zoroastrians are supported by Iran’s Constitutional Law and live in peace together, with parliamentary seats preserved for each of them.”

“Even the metro is conveying this message today. While the West only talks about tolerance, Iran is quietly practicing it underground.”
Another Russian user wrote, “You cannot see such a clean and blossoming garden in the so-called civilized West — not in Europe nor in the United States. This is an Iranian metro station — a new metro station called ‘Saint Mary,’ decorated with Christian symbols.”

An Orthodox Christian from Russia has also praised freedom of religion in Iran and wrote, “Alhamdulillah! The love of God is so strong in Iran that Mary, the sacred mother of Christ, will have her own metro station in Tehran, with symbols inspired by Armenian art — something not tolerated in post-Christian Western communities.”
