According to Mehr News Agency, the weekly flight, numbered 7450, will depart every Sunday at 7 a.m. (Tehran time) from Rasht to Astrakhan, operated by an Iranian airline.
Following the launch of international flights from Rasht to Najaf and Baghdad, this marks the third international passenger route from Rasht’s Sardar Jangal Airport.
Given the airport’s location along the North–South Corridor and its strategic position, the new route is expected to significantly facilitate trade and commerce while paving the way for future cargo flights between the two countries.
