The two sides expressed satisfaction with cooperation in health sector and underlined developing joint cooperation in scientific, academic, research, and educational fields, which includes the exchange of professors and students, holding joint specialized conferences, and strengthening relations between Iranian and Saudi medical sciences universities.
They also reviewed expanding joint investments in the pharmaceutical, medical equipment, and health infrastructure sectors, and mutually benefiting from existing experiences and capabilities in these fields.
Zafarghandi emphasized the importance of expanding health and science diplomacy and invited his Saudi counterpart to pay an official visit to Tehran to continue bilateral talks.
Iran’s Minister of Health has traveled to Saudi Arabia at the head of a delegation of senior managers from the country’s pharmaceutical and medical equipment sectors to participate in the eighth Global Health Exhibition in Riyadh.
