In an interview with Al Jazeera, Baqaei emphasized that the consequences of Grossi’s unfounded statements paved the way for the aggressive actions of the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran.
He was referring to the Israeli war of aggression against Iran, backed by Washington, in mid-June.
He further urged the IAEA chief to refrain from expressing baseless opinions regarding Iran’s nuclear program.
Iran does not appear to be actively enriching uranium, but renewed movement has been detected recently at the country’s nuclear sites, Grossi told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
Grossi said inspectors have been unable to fully access the sites, but have not seen any activity via satellite to indicate that the Islamic Republic has accelerated its production of uranium enriched beyond what it had compiled before the 12-day war with Israel in June.
