Avash News: The website of Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that two telephone calls took place on Thursday, October 30, between Badr Abdelatty, Egypt’s Foreign Minister, and Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, as well as Rafael Grossi, the IAEA Director General. The calls were held as part of Egypt’s efforts to follow up on developments in Iran’s nuclear file and to support regional security and stability through peaceful solutions to the Iranian nuclear issue.
The statement noted that Abdelatty emphasized the importance of continuing dialogue between the two sides, as well as resuming and strengthening cooperation between Iran and the IAEA based on the agreement signed in Cairo on September 9. He also underlined the need to intensify contacts among the concerned parties in the coming period.
According to the report, these phone calls were made under the directive of Egypt’s President, as part of efforts to reduce tensions and achieve calm in the Middle East region.
