Iranian film “Black Rabbit, White Rabbit” to compete at Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Film Festival

The fifth edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia has announced the list of films selected for its main competition section.

Avash News: The festival, which has quickly emerged as a major cinematic event in the region, will be held from December 4 to 13. Sixteen films will compete in the main section, including Black Rabbit, White Rabbit by Iranian filmmaker Shahram Mokri, a co-production between Iran and Tajikistan.

The film previously won the Asia Future Award at the Busan International Film Festival and was also screened at the London and Chicago international film festivals. It has been selected to represent Tajikistan in the Academy Awards competition.

Produced in both Persian and Tajik languages, the film features actors from Iran and Tajikistan.
White Rabbit, Black Rabbit is Mokri’s fourth feature film. His first, Fish and Cat (2013), received a special prize in the Horizons section of the Venice Film Festival.
