The 2025 World Karate Championships were held in the presence of the karate fighters from 87 countries.
The Iranian team with 10 quota spots (five for women and five for men), concluded its campaign in this prestigious event with the historic gold medal won by Atousa Golshadnezhad, a silver medal by Saleh Abazari, and a bronze medal by Sara Bahmanyar.
Egypt, with 3 gold and 1 bronze medal ranked first.
Iran, along with Italy, Turkey, and Japan, jointly achieved second place, each securing one gold, one silver, and one bronze medal.
