The Azeri version of the book “The Power of Negotiation”, written by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arachghi, has been unveiled at Baku State University.

The unveiling ceremony took place on Monday evening during Araghchi’s visit to the university, where he presented several copies of the book to academics and students.

Araghchi also made a speech, highlighting Iran’s stance on the importance of diplomacy and cooperation among nations in addressing international issues.

He said that diplomacy is a vital tool for safeguarding national interests and outlined the prerequisites of effective diplomatic engagement.

The foreign minister also noted that international relations are increasingly influenced by the unlawful conduct of certain powers that resort to coercion to advance their foreign policy goals.

The replacement of the rule of law with a command-based order rooted in coercive power, he said, does not promote international peace and security; rather, it fuels instability and a return to the law of the jungle.

Referring to the 12-day war of aggression by the United States and Israel against Iran in June, Araghchi said the Iranian nation demonstrated that while it defends its homeland, it also engages in negotiations with confidence and goodwill to protect its national interests and dignity.

Araghchi began his two-day visit to Baku on Sunday, meeting with senior officials including Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and President Ilham Aliyev.
