President Pezeshkian made the remarks during a speech he delivered to the First Edition of Imam Khomeini World Award in Tehran on Wednesday.
Late Imam Khomeini was the messenger of unity and solidarity among people, the president said, adding that late Imam Khomeini was seeking unity among the Muslim Ummah.”
He pointed out that Muslim nations must be united so that enemies cannot sow discord among Muslim Ummah.
President Pezeshkian added that Muslim countries must be able to show in practice that they can forge unity, as late Imam Khomeini wanted.
