Video: Red rain runoff on Iran’s Hormoz Island captivates global social media

The circulation of images showing rainfall on Hormuz Island and the red-colored runoff flowing along its shoreline has sparked widespread attention and enthusiasm across global social media platforms.

Avash News: India’s WION website, in a report on the phenomenon, wrote:
A beach on Iran’s Hormuz Island turns red during rainfall, creating the impression that a “stream of blood” is flowing. Following last week’s rains, surreal images of the crimson shoreline spread widely across social media. From biblical prophecies to basic scientific explanations, users have offered various interpretations for the blood-colored runoff on Hormuz Island’s coast.
Iran has been hit by waves of rain since last Wednesday (December 10), even as the country has been grappling with its driest autumn in more than 50 years.
On the Red Beach of Hormuz Island, the water turned crimson, creating the illusion of rivers filled with blood. Dozens of videos circulated on social media, showing the beach and the sea seemingly submerged in shades of red.
