Mirza-ye Shirazi Street becomes one of the most crowded areas in Tehran in the early days of the tenth month of the Iranian calendar, coinciding with Christmas.

Avash News: Not only has the street turned into one of the largest hubs for purchasing Christmas decorations and festive items, it has also become one of the most popular spots for taking Instagram photos among citizens, especially young people.

In recent years, however, visitors seem more interested in posing with artificial palm trees, snowflakes, and costumed Santas than in shopping. This may be one of the reasons why many stores have gradually shifted their function — and why the area has started to lose some of its former appeal.
