Speaking to reporters about recent developments in Yemen on Wednesday, Baqaei said Iran was closely monitoring security developments in the country’s south and east and called on all parties involved to exercise restraint and prioritize the interests of the Yemeni people and regional security.
He said regional countries should make collective efforts to maintain Yemen’s unity and territorial integrity, warning against moves that could escalate instability and widen insecurity in Yemen and the broader region.
Baqaei reiterated Tehran’s position that the Yemeni crisis can only be resolved through comprehensive dialogue, implementation of an agreed roadmap, and the formation of an inclusive government within the framework of Yemen’s unity and territorial integrity.
