Iranian table tennis national Amirhossein Hedayati has been denied a visa by the US government due to the country’s new travel restrictions affecting citizens of several nations.

As a result, Amirhossein Hedayati who has a medal from the Hangzhou Asian Games and the Islamic Solidarity Games, will miss the opportunity to compete in the US league this season.

He had an impressive performance last year with the Texas Smash team, which earned him multiple offers from other teams in the league. He had ultimately signed with the New York Slees for the upcoming season.

Despite preparing for the league, Hedayi could not secure a visa. Previously, he had successfully obtained a U.S. residency visa on three separate occasions.
