The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) says the US-Israeli attacks on facilities under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Organization (IAEA) are not only contrary to international principles but definitely a war crime.

Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesperson for the AEOI made the remarks on Wednesday, in a conversation with the national broadcast in response to the bombing of Iran’s nuclear and heavy water facilities by the United States and the Israeli regime.

Attacking nuclear facilities under the IAEA supervision is completely against the international principles, and falls under war crimes, he noted, saying that Iran has been documenting the legal aspects of these crimes.

He also referred to potential legal cases at national and international levels, emphasizing that the AEOI has presented its views at different levels, including the International Court of Justice.

The Foreign Ministry and the presidential aide to legal affairs are also conducting the necessary follow-ups, Kamalvandi informed.

Since the beginning of their joint aggression, the US and Israeli regime have targeted several sites of Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, including Bushehr and Khondab Nuclear Complex.
