In this message, he described Martyr Kharrazi as a prominent, committed, and influential diplomat who, for many years with insight and sincerity, served in responsibilities such as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, defending the country’s national interests and principled positions.
The text of the President’s condolence message is as follows:
In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
I extend my condolences to the proud nation of Iran, the country’s diplomatic community, and the esteemed family and survivors of Dr. Seyed Kamal Kharrazi, who, after enduring injuries caused by a terrorist and brutal attack by American and Zionist enemies on his residence, has joined the caravan of martyrs.
He was one of the prominent, committed, and influential figures in the country’s diplomatic arena, who spent many years of his honorable life in critical responsibilities such as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations, serving with sincerity, insight, and deep commitment to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution, and in the path of defending national interests and articulating the principled positions of the Islamic Republic on the international stage.
This distinguished diplomat, in the years that followed, continued with the same spirit of responsibility, prudence, and concern for the country, playing an important role in significant positions such as membership in the Expediency Discernment Council.
I, while paying respect to the lofty soul of this revered martyr and his devoted and supportive wife, who was also martyred in this criminal act, ask God Almighty to grant them the highest ranks and companionship with the righteous, and to grant their bereaved family patience and good health.
