Omani FM reaffirmed support to reduce regional tensions

Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi has reaffirmed his country’s support for reducing tensions in the region.

Referring to his meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi on Sunday, he wrote on his X account “Good discussions with Iran’s Deputy FM Gharibabadi reflecting the constructive nature of Oman-Iran dialogue.”

“We reaffirmed the importance of diplomatic engagement on all fronts,” he added.

“Oman will continue supporting efforts to reduce tension, advance peaceful regional coexistence, security and freedom of navigation, the top diplomat noted.

Gharibabadi had delivered an oral message from Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to Al Busaidi.

This message was part of ongoing consultations and positive cooperation between the two neighboring countries on various issues.

It specifically addressed the ongoing Iran-US talks, which are being conducted with Pakistan’s mediation, as well as the efforts to ensure the success of these negotiations.
