Avash News: According to this framework, the United States has committed to fully lifting the naval blockade on Iran. In return, Iran has agreed to restore the number of ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz to pre-war levels. Military vessels are excluded from the agreement.
The management of maritime passages will be carried out jointly by Oman and Iran. The United States has also committed to withdrawing its military forces from areas surrounding Iran; however, whether this includes forces deployed to the region or stationed at regional bases remains subject to further negotiations.
If a final agreement is reached within 60 days, the deal will reportedly be approved by the United Nations in the form of a binding resolution.
The framework of the Islamabad MoU has not yet been finalized, and Iran has stated that it will not take any steps toward implementing the deal without “concrete verification.”
